Sao pratos como estes que fazem da cozinha portuguesa uma das melhores do mundo.

Este aqui feito pelo meu tio Joao Angelo, de quem vos falarei mais tarde...um mestre nestas artes. Anos em Africa como guia safari fizeram apurar neste meu tio aquelas capacidades que so a gente sabe...vale mais um cabrito em casa da minha tia Fernanda, que qualquer restaurante em Saint Michelle (Paris).

Well time really run, and after my amazing ferias in Portugal and Spain, I'm back to duty... by luck is just in time for Ramadam. and the festive times, in Qatar.

This holidays start in Portugal, Evora where my older brother lives... difficult to find better place to be received there, direct into is family and the mediterranean life style.

Churrascadas, dinner outside, mini's and lots of fun.

Templo de Diana.

The Temple of Diana is a ruined Roman temple in the city center of Evora. Dating from the 1st or 2nd century AD, the temple is a light, graceful structure with 14 granite Corinthian columns topped by marble capitals with decorative carvings.

Although tradition holds that it was dedicated to the goddess Diana, there is no evidence for this and is actual dedication remains unknown. The temple withstood the 1775 earthquake.

If one day some of you have the opportunity to travel in Portugal, Evora is a place to visit, not only for the monuments with century's, but also for the easy going life rhythm, under a constant great sun, for taste the best wines made in Portugal (Vinho do Alentejo), and for the contact with the especial and extra kind local people ( Eborenses).

For those who know my level of russian, and Uliana level of english at that time can imagine and understand how challange was stay those magic days in Mosckva, to resolve, translate and legalize our Sakhalin mariage. To help us, no Hotel was available for more then 2 nights, sometimes one night, that make us run all over Moscow, to find a place to stay and avoid a night at the Terminal. Everyday was fantastic... we got stoled 3000 rubles by police in Kremlin gates, left all our bellowings in a taxi, including passports..thanks to Slava by returning to us, saving me from a heart attack, got almost frozen waiting for a taxi in Prospeckt Mira...4 hours. But we still have time to explore that amazing place, walk in the city streets, went to some restaurants and Museum's, (funny in the Putshkin Museum, they have ticket prices for russians and for westerns, us is just the double), have the best beer in Moscow at the Milano Hotel, near Domodedovo Airport, also best place to stay in case you go Moscow one day, avoid 5* Presidential Arabat Hotel near Red Plaza.

All the special things that make it intense and memorable.

If someone ask me, where is the best place I ever went, easily I'll say Rodrigues Island.

Arrive there is just an experience, and be there is a single sensation hard to explain, the Island is 560 k's from Mauritius with just 109 km2, dicovered by the Portuguese navigator Diogo Rodrigues in 1528.

The time stops, and we just dont want to leave ever....is a paradise, almost forgoted from the western world. I did several beaches without find a single soul, and the only expat was an Australian that visit the island since the 70's.

When I went there I rent a small blue Susuki motorbike to a local friend Jovanni, and with a funny green helmet and 125 Azul Trovante, in my Ipood, I start explore all corner of the Island, crossing ravines, rivers, green fields, stopping once in a wile for a fresh Phoenix and eat some samusas our bouchons.

Is common see in the streets our in shops, writed hand boards with:

Only tree persons live in the prision for minor crimes, and the view from there is a beautifull blue ocean.

I'll return to visit again some friends in Port Mathurin....buy some Zourite, visit Ile aux Cocos ...just feel free from our world....I think that is the best sensation there, you feel like back in time, when everything was pure, people, ocean and earth...

This Leopard girl is Guzel Gufranova my Bashkir friend, a very interessing part of Russia, and with her I start understand better, the mentality of this people....the language and culture. She's also from Ufa, city of Zemphira, and I heard they where neighbours :P

It was nice the nights we went for some jogging with temparatures bellow 25 celcius, the storys about goshts in the dark...I know everybody tought we're crazy at that time.

We still keep on touch, often...my akno to Sakhalin.

Having dance classes in Leonidovo was motive of several clashes between us...at that time I call her, Dancing Queen....I think I didn't was giving enough attention to what girl needs.... :)ACTION !

I'm happy they still dance....

We spend a wonderfull last night in Continental, Yousno Sakhalin...near piss off, and we plan to met again in future, I'm sure it will be done.

Despite all the Politik, that was the River Crossing in Sakhalin, me and my friend an Environemental engineer Mr. Oleg Mamaev, did take care of each river with passion, after the caterpillar pass, to lay the pipeline, we come to rebuilt the river bed and berms, protect each one, against natural and human erosion, sediments, monitor the reseeding to estabilize the banks and watch the grass that we plant together grow, green and healthy, we saw at first the small fishes in those gelid waters...after the large salmons....We did it for our personal commitment with Nature.
Oleg it was a pleasure see the results...and like I told you before, men's like you are the motor of the development of Russia.
My best men, Steve was there to supervise us, direct from Las Vegas, to Leonidovo :) to make is reports to the World Bank, and Environmental Authorites..he know beter then anyone how was difficult to do this job, and that we did it GOOD, with our own two hands.

Inicia-se assim um blog para os amigos...sempre tao longe.
A inexperientia e a timidez para o exercicio da escrita, limitam-me a utilizar a imagem, como registo destas andancas, que me levam aos quatro cantos e que me permitem alargar este mundo, que cada vez parece maior.
Tantas faces que recordo, sorrisos, vozes, amigos deixados em lugares passados, gravitando agora num mundo virtual, cheios de promessas de reencontros que sei impossiveis.
